Support Safer Communities – First Aid 2026 Fundraising Campaign
1.3.2026
Monaliiku promotes inclusion, gender equality, and community wellbeing. Our work strengthens participation, builds confidence, and helps women thrive in safe spaces. Now, more than ever, donations are vital to ensure this important work continues.
This spring, we are launching a fundraising campaign to provide certified first aid training for participants and staff, along with swimming and water safety courses ahead of the summer season.
In Finland, water is everywhere — lakes, beaches, and saunas — and safety skills are essential. Yet many have never had the opportunity to learn swimming or first aid, which can limit confidence, independence, and even safety in everyday life.
Through this initiative, we aim to equip participants with life-saving skills. First aid knowledge can save a child, a neighbour, while swimming skills prevent drowning and help women feel included in Finnish society and culture. The majority of our participants are mothers and providing them with these skills protects entire families while strengthening our community’s safety.
Our goal is to attract 25 new donors and raise €10,000 by the end of April 2026. Every contribution, big or small, directly supports our community, equips them with practical skills, and strengthens our inclusive community. This campaign is conducted under small-scale fundraising permit RA/2026/132, approved by the Helsinki Police Department.
Join us in making a meaningful impact.
