Marc's last day!

At Monaliiku, we welcome everyone during our activities but also as staff members. We have a really multicultural team and for the past year, Marc Gavaldà-Andreu was our Marketing Manager. He did such a great job that we couldn't let him leave the office without giving him the opportunity to talk about this year.
Marc's last words about his experience with us!
I have been working in Monaliiku for a year as the Marketing Manager, as part of the European Solidarity Corps program, and today is my last day in the office.
It has been an absolute pleasure being able to grow as a professional and as a person in this environment. Monaliiku strives to promote a healthier lifestyle for migrant women by providing a safe space to practice sports every week for every woman, despite their origin, religion, or culture. I can honestly say I learned a lot and I felt that my opinions were heard. Feeling valued in an organization is really important and I could sense it all the way through my stay.
I was coming from Spain and this year living in Finland has been the first time I lived abroad, so I was a bit afraid at the beginning. However, I do not regret a single thing because I became a better person with the help of everyone I met here, inside and outside Monaliiku.
Monaliiku’s participants are migrant women, but what people may not know is that the staff is also formed by lots of people from different backgrounds and ethnicities, most of them being also women. It was my first time working in such a multicultural environment and I can just thank everyone for welcoming me and making me feel at home. Thanks Foos, Anissa, Hadie, Nidal, Nicole, Nazim, Anna, Yleanna, Kati, Murdia, Yusuf, Ayisat, Margareta, Claudia, Halima, Fadumo, Badriyo, Agya, and Arta for everything.
I will remember forever my time in Monaliiku. Kiitos paljon!
