Two Online Training Sessions Successfully Completed!
1.9.2025
In July, the partners of the Mentor on the Move: Sports Mentorship Without Borders project took part in a two-part online training organised by Laureus Sport for Good (UK) together with Monaliiku (Finland) and the Migration Institute of Finland (MIF).
Originally planned as a single 6-hour training, the programme was adapted into two webinars of 3 hours each, allowing partners to engage more effectively in discussions and group work.
The training set the theoretical framework of the project and presented the research findings from Work Package 2 (WP2). It built the knowledge and capacity of the participating organisations to plan project processes and activities using an evidence-based approach. The sessions combined lectures, interactive discussions, and group work, creating space for reflection and exchange across all partner organisations.
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, Mentor on the Move aims to make physical activity and sport more accessible and inclusive for migrant women and other vulnerable groups. By training organisations and professionals working in sport, migration, and social inclusion, the project develops, tests, and shares a sport-based mentoring programme that promotes the personal development and empowerment of these communities.
The project is led by Monaliiku (Finland) and brings together a consortium of seven organisations from Spain, Romania, Greece, Belgium, and the UK. Together, we are committed to creating more inclusive sports spaces and opportunities across Europe.
