MOTM Erasmus+ Sport Project Strengthens Training and Mentoring in Bucharest

11.11.2025

The MOTM – Mentor On The Move project, funded by Erasmus+ Sport, brought together partners from seven organizations across six European countries for its second in-person meeting, held on 21–22 October 2025 at the National Sports Agency in Bucharest, hosted by Sport for All Suceava.

Over two days of collaboration, partners worked intensively to finalize the MOTM training course and draft the Mentoring Model, designed to empower migrant women and other vulnerable groups through sports. The sessions included reviewing and aligning online modules, co-creating practical exercises, tools, and case studies, and defining the course’s structure, editorial plan, and core European values such as inclusion, participation, and equality.

“It was inspiring to see partners come together, sharing ideas and experiences to create a training course that truly reflects the needs of migrant women,” said the project coordinator.

Participants also laid the groundwork for the MOTM Mentoring Model, outlining mentoring pathways, roles, and relationships, ensuring the programme is accessible and inclusive. Discussions also focused on dissemination strategies, upcoming local workshops, and the formation of a Diverse Advisory Group to guarantee broad representation in the project’s development.

“Every discussion and activity at this meeting reminded us why MOTM matters—sports and mentoring together can open real opportunities for social inclusion,” noted another partner.

By the end of the meeting, partners had agreed on timelines, responsibilities, and next steps, leaving the meeting with a shared sense of purpose and motivation. The consortium will continue virtual follow-ups as they prepare for the next in-person meeting, which will take place in Madrid in 2026, hosted by Plan International Spain.
