Mentor on the Move: Sports Mentorship Without Borders
Mentor on the Move (MOTM) is an Erasmus+ Sport project that promotes inclusion and empowerment through sport-based mentoring. The project supports migrant women and other vulnerable groups by using physical activity as a tool for personal development, social integration, and community building.
Objectives
Make sport and physical activity more accessible and inclusive for people with fewer opportunities.
Train organisations and professionals in mentoring methods that combine sport with social inclusion.
Develop and test an innovative sport-based mentoring programme across Europe.
Empower participants to build confidence, resilience, and networks through mentoring in sport.
Activities
Research (WP2): Collecting evidence and mapping good practices to understand challenges and opportunities in sport-based mentoring.
Training (WP3): Equipping partners with knowledge and tools through online and face-to-face training sessions.
Pilot Actions (WP4): Implementing mentoring activities in local communities, testing approaches with migrant women and young people.
Dissemination (WP5): Sharing results, tools, and recommendations with organisations, policy-makers, and sport networks.

Duration: 1 January 2025 – 31 December 2027 (36 months)

Expected Results
A training programme and toolkit for sport-based mentoring.
Pilot-tested mentoring models in partner countries.
Policy recommendations to promote inclusion in sport.
Stronger cooperation between sport, migration, and social inclusion sectors.
