Running Together, Feeling Better – Monaliiku Running School

On a fresh spring morning, we gathered at Pirkkola sports field for our Monaliiku running school. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming right from the beginning. Our two wonderful instructors were already there, ready to guide us and support everyone in their own pace.

Participants slowly arrived, greeting each other and signing in. For those who came with children, Monaliiku staff helped to take care of the little ones and organize activities for them. This made it easier for everyone to focus on the session and enjoy the time.

We started with a gentle warm-up and different running exercises. Step by step, we prepared our bodies for movement. After that, we moved on to running. Some participants chose to run along the stadium paths with one instructor, while others preferred walking and joined a separate group. Everyone could choose what felt best for them.

Soon, we continued towards the forest trails nearby. The surroundings were truly beautiful. Fresh air, green trees, and the sound of birds created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It did not feel like a hard training session, but rather like a moment to reconnect- with nature, with others, and with ourselves.

During the session, there was also time to talk and share experiences. Many participants enjoyed these small conversations while walking or running together. It felt easy and natural.

These sessions are not only good for physical health but also for mental well-being. Moving together, listening to your body, and spending time outdoors can bring a sense of calm and joy.

The running school is not about speed or performance. It is about feeling good, building confidence, and enjoying movement in a safe and supportive group.

We are happy to see so many motivated participants, and we are already looking forward to the next sessions, and to our shared goal: the Naisten10 spring event!
